2019 New Mexico Truck Driving Championships

TDC 2019 was another good year for the Teamster drivers that participated. There were five Teamsters that took home 1st place trophies, Donald Wood, Ricky Lucas, Kirk Weis, & Joseph Carrillo from ABF and Mike Johnson from YRC. These skilled Teamsters from New Mexico are all headed to the 2019 National Truck Driving Championships in Pittsburg Pennsylvania.

Abandoned by CSEA/SEIU, Seymour BOE Secretaries Join UPSEU

For the last several years the Seymour BOE Secretaries suspected that their former union, CSEA/SEIU was uninterested in continuing to represent the bargaining unit. Those suspicions were fully realized when CSEA/SEIU was a no-show at a recent Connecticut State Board of Labor Relations (CSBLR) preliminary hearing regarding a petition to have the group join UPSEU.

Joint Update: AMFA-ASA Virgin America Transition Agreement Discussions

May 16, 2019 -- Representatives for AMFA and Alaska Airlines met in Seattle, WA on May 14, 2019, to continue discussions regarding a Transition Agreement to bring the Legacy Virgin American (Airbus) Aircraft Maintenance Technicians under the AMFA CBA and an Integrated Seniority List. During this session Alaska provided information that was requested by AMFA related to the terms of the other agreements on the property as well as other AMT groups in the industry. Neither side presented any additional proposals.

IBEW - AT&T DIRECTV Call Center Tentative Agreement Highlights

On Friday, May 10, 2019 the IBEW System Council T-3 (SCT-3) and AT&T/DIRECTV reached a tentative agreement on a new four-year contract covering employees working for the company in DIRECTV call centers. The new tentative agreement must be voted on and accepted by the members of the IBEW. The IBEW SCT-3 will present the contract to its members over the next few weeks through a series of meetings and other communications. After reviewing the new contract we feel our members will agree with the officers and delegates of the IBEW SCT-3 and vote to accept the tentative agreement. The highlights are as follows:
