On February 2, 2016 at 8:39 pm a fire was reported at 429 Harrison Ave.  Engine Co. 4, Engine Co. 10, Rescue Co. 1, Truck Co. 2 and Car 21 were dispatched.  Car 21 arrived on scene and reported a smoke condition and to activated the SRN which added Engine Co. 8 and Engine Co. 2 to the scene.  B- Shift firefighters stretched a 1 3/4" hose line and worked their way into the large building to find a fully involved room on the third floor.  The assistant chief requested a second alarm which added Engine Co. 7, Truck Co. 4, Car 5, Car 22, Car 26, Car 27, Car 30 and a Fire Inspector to the incident. Crews on scene made a great stop keeping the flames from spreading to the rest of the home.  Off duty firefighters from A-shift were called in to backfill spare apparatus.  All B-shift companies were back in service with one of the A-shift crews keeping fire watch until Fire Inspector #1 was finished.  While on watch a vehicle fire was seen by firefighters and was quickly handled.  The incident was closed at 12:25 am
