Firefighter Francis Noll 12/1/1924

Firefighter Francis “Frank” Noll of Engine Co. 2 died on December 1, 1924.  He was off of work with an illness, after a doctors exanimation he was ordered back to work.  He returned to his post on December 1, 1924 and responded to a fire at 123-125 Prospect Avenue that same day.  Firefighter Noll returned to his station after the fire, finished his shift and returned home.  It was during his evening walk that he suffered a heart attack.
